On the second to last episode of The Traitors, the contestant who collected the most gold coins in a series of tasks would get the power to become the 'seer'.

This meant one of the players would be able to know the true identity of another other player.

The 'seer' will invite one player to a face-to-face meeting and they will have no choice but to reveal if they are a Faithful or Traitor.

But during the mission on Thursday, fans were left "crying" as Alexander decided to give his coins to Frankie as he said he had no gold and wasn't going to win it.

Some even hailed him the "best of the Faithfuls" who was "playing the game exactly how it should be".

Taking to X, someone posted: "Actually crying at Alexander giving Frankie the coins."

Others described him as "such a gem" and a "King".

This viewer wrote: "ALEXANDER GIVING FRANKIE HIS COINS HE IS AN ANGEL FOR REAL!"

"Alexander once again proving he’s the best of the faithful," shared this account.

One put: "I didn’t think I could love Alexander anymore, and then he started giving Frankie all his coins."

"Alexander may be my favourite ever faithful, just playing the game exactly how it should be," this person tweeted.

The Traitors star Joe opens up about his experience on the BBC show

In the final week of The Traitors, Joe was kicked off the show by Traitors Minah and Charlotte, who said they chose to "murder" him for being a “loud voice” at roundtables in Wednesday’s episode.

Teacher and Faithful Joe told the PA news agency that he got it “drastically wrong a lot of the time”, going after Faithful players, including Kasim in a memorable episode where he suspected the Cambridge doctor after he made a toast to another contestant in Welsh and defended Traitor Linda.

Joe added that he was “confident with my convictions” as he felt he needed “evidence” and did not “want to throw someone under the bus, if, if I’m wrong”, such as Minah, who was banished by her fellow players in Thursday's episode.

Joe also said that the players “sort of gave up” trying to vote out Linda, despite her actions causing suspicions since the beginning of the show, as they did not have the votes at the roundtable.

Defending his decision to go after Kasim, he said: “I was fully on the Linda train with Jake, she was the only one I was right with.

“But in the end, we were like, there’s not enough support. And we were almost like, ‘it’s easier keeping a traitor in that we know of’. But we thought there’s bigger fish to fry. Go for the big fish.

“While Linda’s still in (we thought) she probably won’t murder you. So it was almost like we’ll keep her on the back burner until we’ve got enough support from other people.”

The final of The Traitors airs tomorrow on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 8.30pm.
