The Traitors is a very popular reality show in the UK, that began airing in the UK in 2022 and is now onto its third series in 2025.

Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the programme sees contestants stay at a castle in the Scottish Highlands.

A few of them are secretly designated as 'Traitors' whose job is to 'murder' their fellow players, without getting caught.

The rest are 'Faithfuls' who try to detect who the 'Traitors' are and banish them from the game before they become their next victim.

The goal is to 'survive' until the end of the show to earn a share of the prize money. However, if a 'Traitor' survives until the end they take it all.

While the UK version is very popular, it wasn't the originator of the format, as the first show to use the concept was De Verraders in the Netherlands.
