Following this week’s dance-off on Strictly Come Dancing, an 11th celebrity has been eliminated from the 2024 series.
Pete Wicks and his professional partner Jowita Przystal came bottom of the leaderboard in Saturday's (December 7) semi-final.
They were involved in the dance-off along with Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and her professional dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec.
Tasha and Alijaz came second in the leaderboard on the night out of the five pairs in terms of the judges' scores.
However, it was clear the public vote saw their inclusion in the dance-off.
Who left Strictly Come Dancing in Week 12?
As it was the semi-final stage the pairs had to perform two routines on Saturday's show, but only needed to do one in the dance-off.
Ghouri and Skorjanec decided to perform their waltz routine again to (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin.
This routine received a perfect 40/40 score from the judges on Saturday's show.
Meanwhile, Wicks and Przystal performed their Argentine tango to Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve.
In the end, judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke favoured Ghouri and Skorjanec's performance which meant Wicks and Przystal were eliminated.
Speaking about his time on Strictly, Wicks said: "It’s been wild. I’ve been quite honest about the fact that I didn’t necessarily want to do this (Strictly) in the first place, but everyone else wanted me to do it, and I am so, so glad that I did it.
“You don’t always have to be the best, but if you enjoy something then why shouldn’t you have a go at it?
“I’ve tried my best from day one, I said I was in for a penny, in for a pound and I’ve done it – it’s been beautiful.”
Meanwhile, Przystal told Wicks: “I just want to say thank you, thank you for the trust you have given me since day one.
“I know it wasn’t easy, but with your hard work, your commitment and your heart, which is the most amazing thing, you were winning every week. For me, every dance was special … even the cha cha in Blackpool!
