James Martin has revealed that ITV has renewed his show Saturday Morning for another year.
The celebrity chef and author was the host of Saturday Kitchen for a decade before departing the show to begin his own series - James Martin’s Saturday Morning on ITV1 in 2017.
The 51-year-old is currently on the road in the UK with his James Martin Live Tour, which has already seen him perform shows in Birmingham, Oxford and Swansea.
James Martin reveals the future of Saturday Morning on ITV
Martin was forced to apologise earlier this year after footage emerged of a “rant” he made on the Saturday Moring set back in 2018.
The footage showed the celebrity chef ranting at the production crew, who have accused Martin of "bullying and intimidating behaviour.”
Martin later revealed he had been battling cancer at the time of his outburst having been diagnosed with face cancer at the end of 2017.
But despite all this, Martin revealed during his tour show in Birmingham that ITV had renewed Saturday Morning for another year, The Mirror reported.
Martin said: "I want to thank everyone for their support. It's been a difficult time and I've not been well.
"But I wanted to let you know about the future of my Saturday show as ITV have just made a decision yesterday.
"So, ITV has decided to renew the Saturday show for another year. We've just found out."
Saturday Morning sees Martin welcome guests into his home as he shows off his cooking prowess coming up with delicious dishes.
Martin has welcomed the likes of Welsh actor Luke Evans, comedian Johnny Vegas and Loose Women's Ruth Langsford into his home as part of the show.
Series 6 of James Martin's Saturday Morning continues on ITV1 on Saturday (October 28) at 9.30am and you can catch up on previous episodes on ITVX.
