Supporting Staff Member of the Year - Lisa Marsh, Barton Peveril College
Lisa, 46, has been working at Barton Peveril for two and a half years. She said: "No two days are the same. Yes, I am a barista, serving beverages from a small cafe we have on the college campus, but it's so much more than that.
"We have 3,000 students and hundreds of staff on-site. They all like their coffee differently and they all have a story to tell or something they want to talk about.
"I guess the best thing is being able to support and work with some inspiring students and teachers - whether that's with a cuppa or a catch up.
"I love meeting new people - every day, every week and every new academic year. Sometimes it's the simple things like when a student needs a coffee and a final 'pep-talk' before their exam or coursework deadline.
"Or the smile you get from staff knowing I made their tea just the way they like it. I love feeling like I've made a difference to their day, or time in college."
Lisa was nominated by Shaun Hickman, who said: "Lisa cares and nurtures us students as if we are one of her own. Whether it's just asking us how our day has been, or if we need any help revising, we feel as if we can come to her, no matter what the dilemma, and seek advice.
"She has helped so many students through some tough times. She is not just a catering lady, she is one of the best, kindest, most compassionate ladies, that any person could have met."
