A road will be closed for six weeks to allow for gas main replacement works.
Hampshire County Council has granted a temporary closure of Southdown Road, Otterbourne, from May 18 until July 1.
The closure affects the section between Otterbourne Road and Fairfield Road and will be in place 24 hours a day.
Although the legal order allows for the closure to remain in place for up to six months, the work is expected to take around six months.
