HUNDREDS are expected to a free fayre to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee.

Nursling Recreation Ground, off Nursling Street, will be transformed for an afternoon of family entertainment.

There will be 50 stalls, a family dog show, costumed characters, cutest baby photo competition, bouncy castle, assault course, family picnic area and a BBQ.

The event, hosted by the parish council and events director Terry Hamer, takes place today from 12pm until 6pm.

Supermarket Asda have even joined in by sponsoring a field and putting on activities like zorbing and sumo wrestling.

There will be no parking on site.
