ENTERPRISING students at a Hampshire school have struck up a business deal to help kids orphaned by HIV in South Africa.
Pupils at Hardley School and sixth form in Holbury are selling soap made by youngsters in a town in South Africa.
It is hoped that the innovative trade will both raise funds and increase opportunities in the impoverished Khayelitsha community near Cape Town.
The first 1,000 bars have arrived and pupils will stage a Dragon’s Den-style contest to find ideas for marketing the product.
The initiative was set up to help the South African township where more than one third of residents are infected with HIV/Aids.
