A cycling challenge is aiming to reach a 10,000km target.
PEDALL, an inclusive cycling charity based in the New Forest, hopes to raise £10,000 through its Pass the PEDALL event to support its work.
The event will take place at New Park Showground in Brockenhurst on Saturday, September 26.
Participants of all ages and abilities are invited to join the fundraiser by cycling laps of a one-kilometre track, with the distance contributing to the charity’s collective mileage goal.
Shelley Filby, project manager at PEDALL, said: "Pass the PEDALL 2026 will be a joyful end to the 10,000km for £10k fundraising series and a chance for our riders to take on an inclusive cycling challenge alongside friends and supporters from across the Forest.

"We’re hugely grateful for every bit of support and from our riders, volunteers, project team, and Friends of PEDALL trustees, helping us raise awareness and funds supporting the work we do so people of all ages and abilities can access cycling in the New Forest National Park."
So far, the charity has raised £6,700 and logged 7,775 kilometres.
The fundraising campaign began in June with a 100-mile New Forest Loop ride led by PEDALL’s female volunteers and has since included other events such as the Chase the Sun North 200-mile challenge.
PEDALL offers inclusive cycling experiences for people of all abilities and has delivered 600 rides for more than 1,100 individuals in the past year.

Jim Mitchell, access and learning manager at the New Forest National Park Authority, said: "Pass the PEDALL is a wonderful event for cyclists of all ages and abilities and a chance to raise vital funds to enable PEDALL to continue providing cycling opportunities for all, supporting groups and individuals with varying accessibility needs and helping people experience the joy and health and wellbeing benefits of cycling in the New Forest."
The event will also feature stalls and refreshments.
It is sponsored by Chase The Sun and will include a kids’ cycling challenge hosted by founder Olly Moore.
