A fundraiser has been launched online to give a teenager the send-off “he deserves” after he died in a crash last weekend.
Mason Renhard, 17, from Eastleigh, died in the early hours of Sunday morning, July 13, after the car he was passenger in, a grey Hyundai i20, collided with a tree on Corhampton Lane.
The driver of the vehicle, 16-year-old Damien “Damo” Dean, from Denmead, also died in the crash.
Following the tragic incident, a fundraiser has now been launched on GoFundMe with the aim of raising £6,500 for Mason’s funeral.
The GoFundMe has already raised more than £4,000, just one day after being created.
The fundraiser states: “Mason was a wonderful young man, unique and special in his own way.
“He was loved by so many people, and he deserves the best send off.”
