Two teenagers were pronounced dead at the scene of a fatal car crash yesterday, one of whom was from Eastleigh, Hampshire police confirmed.
Officers were called at 2.47am on Sunday to reports that a grey Hyundai I20 had hit a tree on Corhampton Lane in the village of Corhampton, just north of Swanmore and Bishop's Waltham.
The crash involved two vehicles, as fire crews from Bishop's Waltham, Wickham and Fareham stations were all also called to the scene.
Despite the efforts of a heavy emergency services response at the scene, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy both died.
Hampshire police confirmed to the Echo that the 17-year-old teen was from Eastleigh.

The other teen, aged 16, was from the village of Denmead near Portsmouth.
Police closed the road overnight on Sunday between the A32 roundabout up to Beacon Hill Lane while emergency services attended.
Firefighters left the scene at around 5am before the road reopened around midday.
Both of their families are being supported by specialist officers, as tributes are paid to the teenagers.

Cllr Lee said: "My heartfelt feelings go to the family and community and obviously all friends who know the family.
"This is a tragic situation with youngsters cut down in their prime, it’s beggars belief really.
"Our roads, our back lanes are not the safest roads in the world. People need to take care and I have no idea what happened here, but all I can say is my thoughts are in the family at the moment."

Tributes also flooded in on social media, with Edwina Carter calling it a "terrible tragedy" and saying that her "heart breaks for the" families.
Danielle Lacey said the crash is "every parent's worse nightmare" and Gazmir G Gosturani the families are going through an "unimaginable" situation.
Officers are now looking to speak to any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage.
A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: "As part of our investigation we would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who has relevant dash cam footage capturing the incident or the moments leading up to it.
