Traffic conditions are now starting to ease on the M27.
AA Traffic news is reporting: "Severe delays of twelve minutes and delays increasing on M27 Westbound between J9 A27 Segensworth Link Road (Segensworth / Fareham) and J5 A335 Stoneham Way (Southampton Airport / Eastleigh).
"Average speed 15 mph."
INRIX is reporting: "Slow traffic due to earlier broken down vehicle on M27 Eastbound at J8 A3024 (Bursledon / Hamble).
"M27 into the roadworks Eastbound busy but moving at J5 A335 (Southampton Airport / Eastleigh)."
National Highways traffic cameras show the extent of the rush-hour delays.
Traffic is worse between junctions 7, Hedge End, and 9, Whiteley.
