Commuters heading into Southampton from the north of Hampshire may have been stationary for hours after an overturned car stopped traffic on a major motorway.
A rolled vehicle stopped traffic travelling eastbound on the M3 between Basingstoke and Hook, blocking those travelling since 7.10am this morning.
Delays continue to build, National Highways confirmed, but vehicle recovery is at the scene.
On the eastbound carriageway, commuters are expected to be delayed another 30 minutes, with approximately four miles of congestion built up.

Traffic continues to be stopped.
Once in Southampton, commuters may find themselves struggling with traffic once again, as the closure of a major road has put stress on the road network.
Thomas Lewis Way has been closed due to a "large diesel spill", Hampshire police confirmed.
As a result, Bitterne Road West is facing severe congestion as traffic moves away from the busy road to find alternative routes into Southampton city centre.
