Trans Pride Southampton has confirmed that its protest event planned for October "will not happen" as it merges with Southampton Pride.
The organisation has said that "due to a range of reasons", it will be formally dissolving as a Community Interest Company.
However, a spokesperson said on social media that the organisation will be "merging" its resources with Southampton Pride "so the event and cause" can exist under one umbrella.
Hundreds of people marched through Southampton centre on April 27 in a trans right protest set up by Trans Pride Southampton following a Supreme Court decision on the Equality Act.

A spokesperson for Trans Pride Southampton said: "For the past two years, Trans Pride Southampton has existed as an independent organisation.
"We’ve enjoyed not just having our namesake event rage through the city as the protest it is.
"This does mean the Trans Pride Southampton event will not happen on the 25th October, but we will be helping at Southampton Pride on the 23rd and 24th August, to make sure the trans community is properly included and fought for - in perhaps the most important year for Pride so far.
"It has been a fantastic three years bringing the Trans community together in Southampton, and we cannot wait to continue to do this with Southampton Pride."
