An MP has criticised the Government’s new 10-year NHS plan.
Eastleigh’s Liberal Democrat MP Liz Jarvis has called the plan a "missed opportunity" to rebuild health services, particularly due to its lack of focus on social care.
Ms Jarvis said: "Today was a missed opportunity to break with the years of Conservative neglect that pushed our NHS to breaking point.
"Social care was barely an afterthought and not enough was said to reassure primary care practitioners in Eastleigh that they are a priority.

"The Government is showing an unwillingness to rise to the challenge and take the action needed to rebuild our local health services so that people here in Eastleigh no longer have to wait weeks on end for a GP or struggle to find a dentist."
She did, however, welcome one element of the plan.
Ms Jarvis said: "I welcome the Health Secretary’s commitment to a national investigation into our national maternity and neo-natal services."
