As the UK continues to bask in sweltering temperatures, Southampton is set to be hotter than the Greek island of Mykonos today.
Temperatures in the city are set to reach highs of 29 degrees this afternoon, with bright sunshine forecast throughout the day.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Tuesday will be very hot for most and remaining humid with long spells of very strong sunshine across the region.”
Though there are no weather warnings for the area, the Met Office has forecast Southampton will be basking in at least 28-degree heat from 12pm to 7pm.
