Youngsters from Southampton Diving Academy (SDA) are celebrating a string of national and international achievements.

A team of 13 SDA youngsters travelled to the Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Birmingham to take part in the Swim England National Age-group Championship.

The competition which saw some of the country's best young divers compete both individually and as synchronised pairs.

SDA divers left the competition with seven medals.

In the girls' 12-13 age-group, Kate Makare and Emma Armstrong brought home silver medals in the three-metre and platform events respectively.

Rami Cooper secured a bronze medal in the boys' 12-13 age-group platform event.

Alongside national success, SDA divers were also successful overseas.

A team of junior elite divers recently travelled to Bergen in Norway to compete in the Bergen Open.

The event saw more than 200 divers from 17 different countries compete.

Oliver Wignall secured gold in the boys' A- Platform, a triumph in his final international tournament with the club before heading off to Hawaii in August on a 'diving scholarship.'

Meanwhile, Ella Swete won three gold medals in the girls' 12-13 age-group events.

Ella's accomplishments didn't stop there, as she then went on to represent England in Rome at the Roma Junior Diving Cup.

Selected as a result of her impressive performance at the Aquatics GB Junior Elite Diving competition held in April, where she claimed the national champion title in the three-metre springboard event and finished runner-up in the one-metre event.

On her first international trip representing England, Ella picked up two golds in the three-metre and platform events and a silver medal in the one-metre event.
