A Southampton born actor has become third favourite to be the next James Bond after having his betting odds slashed almost miraculously from 100/1.
Scott Rose-Marsh, who has appeared in the BBC hit The Outlaws, has now been installed as Betfred's third favourite at odds of 5/2.
Only Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Theo James are priced lower than the Harefield born actor.
The Echo understands his odds on Betfred were drastically slashed in the last 72 hours after a run of money was placed on Scott.

His price has also shortened with a number of other leading bookmakers.
Scott attended Woodlands Community College before gaining a place at the Brit School in London aged 16.
After leaving the performing arts school and battling addiction, Scott found himself working in telesales in Wales before his big break.

"I was working in a call centre in Wales when I thought to myself 'I wish I continued with the acting' so I sent a video of myself to a local agency and it all stemmed from there," he said in 2021.
"Four months later I quit my job and here I am."
Tom Hardy and Idris Elba are both priced as outside shouts by Betfred at 25/1.

Robert Ford, digital outreach manager for the bookmakers, said: “There’s been a lot of significant movement in our next James Bond market in the past 72 hours, with the biggest shift being The Outlaws star Scott Rose-Marsh having his odds slashed from 100/1 into 5/2 third favourite behind frontrunner Aaron Taylor-Johnson and The Gentleman’s Theo James at evens and 9/4, respectively."
Scott was cast as a gang member in Stephen Merchant's hit show The Outlaws, and said that he got the role in "unusual" fashion.
"I had a phone call with someone in the production team who said Stephen Marchant really loved my photo and they needed me to sell myself," he admitted.
"It was a complete stroke of luck."
