A man in Southampton has been arrested after police found knives in his car.
The incident occurred when police on patrol in Southampton spotted a suspicious vehicle, leading to a stop and search.
A large knife and machete were discovered in the boot of the car, resulting in the man's arrest for possession of offensive weapons.
Police undertook a roadside drugs wipe test which also returned a positive result, indicating drugs in the driver's system.

The man was further arrested for driving while over the prescribed limit for drugs.
The police emphasised the dangers of drug driving and said: "Drug driving, similarly to drink driving, can put us all at risk and is not tolerated.
"This is a good example about how sometimes you have to trust your gut and be inquisitive, and in this case it resulted in a drug driver in possession of weapons taken off the streets."
The knives were seized by the police.
