It wasn't just 20 years of their own hits McFly celebrated as they stormed the stage during another bumper weekend of Southampton Summer Sessions.
The multi-talented bunch - Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd - couldn't resist showing off a few notes from some other music greats, everything from Bon Jovi to The Beatles.
The hits just kept on coming, Livin' on a Prayer, Whitney Houston's I Wanna Dance With Somebody, Queen's Radio Gaga, Twist and Shout, they performed them all with aplomb.

That's not to mention McFly's own back catalogue with songs like Obviously, Star Girl and All About You going down a storm during an energetic set.
The band closed the night with a spectacular mash up of Five Colours in Her Hair with Metallica's Master of Puppets, sending the sold out crowd into a frenzy.
It was another brilliant night at this fabulous festival series, which is in its second season and is fast becoming one of the big highlights of the city's calendar, bringing big names to the city centre for a number of nights each June.

Superfan parents seem to have passed on their adoration of McFly to their offspring with a lovely family feel to the evening and plenty of teeny boppers loving life at the very front. Even those struggling to see through the sea of fans were sneaking a peek at their heroes as they danced the night away far back on the Guildhall steps.
Support came from alt-pop artist Devon who opened the evening, warming up the crowd with a set of heartfelt lyrics and upbeat rhythms.

Summer Sessions continues in Guildhall Square this week with The Human League on Thursday (June 26), Ocean Colour Scene on Friday (June 27), Train on Saturday (June 28) and Simple Minds bringing this year's event to a close on Sunday (June 29).
