Police attended an 'incident' on the Itchen Bridge last night which saw the bridge closed for around an hour.
Officers responded for a concern for welfare on the bridge on Sunday, June 22, with it being shut to drivers from around 10pm.
A police spokesperson said: "We responded to a concern for welfare of a woman at 8.30pm and she was passed to the care of the ambulance service."

Updating residents on Blue Sky at around 10pm, a spokesperson for Southampton City Council said: "There is an incident on Itchen Bridge and the bridge is currently closed in both directions.
"Please seek an alternative route."
Around an hour later, the council issued a further update and said the Itchen Bridge had been reopened.
The spokesperson added: "The incident on The Itchen Bridge has now finished and the Bridge is now back open in both directions. Thank you for your patience."
