A new £5.4million music centre at a Hampshire college has been officially opened by Coldplay drummer Will Champion.
The Russell Music Centre at Peter Symonds College was unveiled during a special ceremony featuring student performances, marking a significant investment in creative education.
The Southampton local and former Peter Symonds student said: "This is truly a world-class facility and these students are extraordinary musicians."

He added: "Music is powerful and can connect us to each other at a time in the world when finding common ground can be difficult.
"Students here will have incredible opportunities to be creative and make a real, positive difference."
The centre includes rehearsal rooms, recording studios and a recital space.
Sara Russell, principal of Peter Symonds College, said: "Here at Symonds, there has always been a deep understanding of the value of creative education, and a strong commitment to protecting and championing it."
