A Southampton Brownie leader has been awarded an MBE.
Janet Parker, of 3rd Shirley Brownies, was recognised in the King's 2025 Birthday Honours List for her service to Girlguiding and the community.
She said: "Guiding has been an important part of my life since I joined as a Brownie at the age of eight.
"I feel very honoured and humbled to receive an MBE."
She spoke of her passion for working with the girls in her unit, seeing them have fun, grow in confidence, and knowing they can achieve anything.
She added: "I love creating teams of talented volunteers to create exciting events, giving young members from across South West England the opportunity to come together to have adventures, to make new friends and create their own mountain top moments."
Racheal Tattum, chief commissioner for South West England, said: "I am so proud that Janet Parker has been recognised for her time and dedication."
