A housebuilder has been appointed to a national board.
Mark White, managing director of Hampshire-based developer Bargate, has joined the board of the Future Homes Hub (FHH).
He will serve as the SME representative, voicing the net zero challenges faced by homebuilders delivering fewer than 300 homes per year.
Mark said: "Now that we have a road map to the Future Homes Standard and the industry is transitioning to net zero, I’m very proud to be joining this influential board to add the voice of the SME sector.
"By continuing to debate the key issues within the SME Liaison Group, we can knowledge share and provide solutions that not only benefit the environment and the government agenda, but are achievable for smaller and regional homebuilders."
The FHH was created to support collaboration across the new homes sector to help achieve the UK Government’s legally binding net zero and wider environmental targets.
For the past year, Mark has chaired the FHH’s SME Liaison Group, which identifies challenges, proposes solutions, and communicates SME perspectives to Government.
