A New Forest hotel has received a Visit England award.
The Montagu Arms in Beaulieu was awarded a bronze award in the best ‘Small Hotel of the Year’ category.
The annual awards ceremony highlights the best of the country’s tourism industry, awarding businesses with gold, silver, and bronze accolades.
The Montagu Arms Hotel dates back to the 16th century and has hosted famous guests such as Sherlock Holmes author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and former French president, General Charles de Gaulle.
Davide Santocono, General Manager at The Montagu Arms said: "We're thrilled to have taken home bronze in the ‘Small Hotel of the Year’ category at the Visit England Awards for Excellence earlier this month.

The annual awards ceremony was hosted at the Brighton Dome Corn Exchange, with the hotel’s social media sharing a photo from the event.
In the post, a spokesperson said: “A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated team for their passion and hard work, and to our wonderful guests for their continued support.”
