A group of travellers have arrived and set up camp at a recreation ground which is popular with teenagers.
Chandler's Ford Parish Council confirmed that an illegal encampment turned up at Fryern Recreation Ground last night.
The local authority said that they continue to monitor the site and asked everyone to remain peaceful to avoid confrontations.
The Echo understands the site was set up last night at around 7pm.

A spokesperson from the parish council said: "The relevant authorities have been informed, and we are following the appropriate legal and procedural steps to address the situation.
"Thank you to everyone who has made contact with staff and Councillors regarding this encampment.
"We understand that residents may have concerns. Please be assured that we are working to resolve the matter as quickly and respectfully as possible, in line with our legal obligations and community values."
The recreation ground is described as an "energetic hub for sports and socialising" on the Chandler's Ford Parish Council website.
It boasts a halfpipe skate ramp, a fully enclosed hard-surface basketball court and five-a-side goals.
General maintenance repairs are due to start on the park's skate ramp on Monday and are expected to take five days to complete.
