A council has received glowing feedback following a recent review.
Fareham Borough Council was commended in a Corporate Peer Challenge carried out by the Local Government Association, which highlighted strengths in leadership, partnership working, organisational culture, and service delivery.
The review also recognised major projects including Daedalus, Fareham Live, town centre regeneration, and Welborne as delivering positive outcomes for residents and the local economy.
The challenge took place from March 10 to 12, 2025, and involved a team of senior councillors and officers who spent three days reviewing the council’s performance, finance, and governance.
Their findings were presented at an executive meeting on June 3, alongside an action plan to implement the team’s recommendations.
Cllr Simon Martin, executive leader of Fareham Borough Council, said: "I am really proud of the findings of the Corporate Peer Challenge.
"Our action plan will help us to focus our efforts for continual improvement to further serve our community."
