The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court:
ELLIOTT CAHILL, 34, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to three counts of stealing board games from Waterstones in Southampton and one of stealing figurines from HMV in Southampton. Remanded on conditional bail to appear at the same court on July 23 2025.
DALE RYVES, 33, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to intentional strangulation at Fair Oak on May 31 2025 and assault by beating at Fair Oak on June 1 2025. Remanded in custody until July 2 2025.
ALLAN MCGINTY, 67, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with requirements of sex offenders register on June 1 2025 by failing to complete weekly registration. Remanded on conditional bail until August 13 2025.
PAUL CURLEY, 45, of Wavell Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to stealing six cans of Jack Daniels from Tesco Express on June 7 2025. Also pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol and seven chicken items from Tesco Express on June 10 2025. Also pleaded guilty to possessing controlled Class A drug on October 21 2024. Remanded on conditional bail until September 10 2025.
RIDJAN METHASANI, 30, of Shirley Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to drug driving at Cheriton Avenue, Southampton, on December 1 2024. Fined £120 with £85 costs and banned from driving for 14 months. Also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance. Driving record endorsed.
GHEORGHITA-DAN PETCU, 30, of Andover Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to speeding on the A34 at Sutton Scotney on September 5 2024. Fined £200 with £130 costs and £200 victim services surcharge and banned from driving for six months.
DOMINIQUE CLARKE-WILSON, 26, of Knott Drive, Eastleigh, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with motorway lane closure signs at West End on November 16 2023. Fined £100 with £130 costs and £40 victim services surcharge. Driving record endorsed with three penalty points.
SCOTT MCLEAN, of Peartree Avenue, Southampton, pleaded guilty to exceeding variable speed limit on M27 at Hedge End on February 18 2024. Fined £100 with £130 costs and £40 victim services surcharge. Driving record endorsed with three penalty points.
