It's sad times when our local council takes less pride in Maybush than the fly-tippers.
Three oil drums containing, presumably, oil (flammable) were left next to the substation on Braishfield Close in early December 2024.
I reported the issue and nothing was done.
Later that month, one of the drums was pushed over, causing the chemicals to spill across the car park.
This was swiftly dealt with by the fire service.
I then reported it again with a threat to talk to the Echo.

I received a call from the Shirley office in April promising action.
Two weeks later, another call came apologising that it had taken so long (protocol).
I reported it again weeks ago and yesterday hazard tape was put around the drums, but they were not removed.
My concern is if any little scally with a lighter decides to play and blows up the substation.
