A new café will open at a historic naval site this weekend.

The café, called the Coffee Quarters café, will open at the Royal Haslar site on the Solent on June 21.

The site will be open to the public from 10am to 3pm.

The new coffee shop will be opened by the official opening by Gosport’s Mayor Kirsten Bradley during the annual Haslar Open Day.

The café has been developed by Maria Wilkinson, a popular figure known for her work at The Creek and The Lightship.

She will be aided by events manager Lou Lou Murphy.

Coffee Quarters will offer a range of artisan coffees, teas, and light snacks.

The café will operate from 9am to 4pm daily.

Royal Haslar residents enjoy a 10 per cent discount on all purchases made at Coffee Quarters.

The Creek is also part of the Haslar Open Day; it will be offering a lunch special – two courses from the Chef’s Recommendations, plus a drink for £20 per person.

Visitors can take advantage of this by quoting 'HASLAR21.'

In addition to the new café's launch, the open day will allow visitors to see changes that have taken place in the area and learn from the Haslar Heritage Group about the site's history as the first naval hospital in the country.

The Memorial Garden, discreetly tucked away within Royal Haslar, will also be open for visits.

Crafted and maintained with the help of veteran's charity, Shore Leave Haslar, the garden offers a peaceful retreat for everyone.

Visitors can purchase art and crafts made by the charity's volunteers and veterans.

While exploring Royal Haslar, guests can also spot BBC One’s Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr's creations.

Show apartments fashioned by the TV show’s contestants will be open for viewing, offering guests a dash of inspiration.

For those interested in exploring the culinary delights, visitors should conveniently park at the marina.

Free parking is available for those dining at The Creek.

The day revolves around more than just food and games, with local businesses and organisations on display for networking and discovery.

Services range from indoor boat activities at Haslar Marina to yoga classes offered by Yoga with Caz.
