An Isle of Wight man is due to appear in court today (Monday, June 16) after police seized a spiked item from a car on the Island's dual carriageway.
Anthony Harris, 57, of Barton Road, Newport, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
He will appear at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court today.

Hampshire and IW Constabulary stopped a silver Mercedes CLK on Medina Way, Newport, at around 10.30pm on Saturday, June 14.
The force seized a black handled item with spikes sticking out of it from the car and arrested a man on suspicion of drug driving and possession of an offensive weapon.
