AN illegal camp has been set up at a green space in the centre of Winchester.
Travellers have set up camp at Oram's Arbour on Clifton Road, in what police have described as an "unauthorised encampment".

Dozens of caravans, mobile homes and vehicles have moved onto the site, and the local authorities have been made aware.
Hampshire Police has said: "We are aware of an unauthorised encampment at Oram's Arbour and officers have contacted the local authority to discuss next steps."
A Winchester City Council spokesperson said: "We're aware of an unauthorised encampment at Oram’s Arbour and our officers visited the site over the weekend and today to carry out the statutory welfare assessments and have now served a notice to leave. We’re now working to support the police with the necessary legal process for removing unauthorised encampments."
