A FUNDRAISER has been set up to honour the memory of three motorcyclists who died after a crash on the A36.

At around 10.30am on May 31, a car crashed into four motorcycles on the A36 at Knook.

One of the motorcycle riders, Robert Best, 62, from Bradley Stoke, was sadly declared dead at the scene. His family paid tribute to him in a statement, describing him as being “loved and adored by all who knew him”.

A woman and a man, both in their 60s, have also died in hospital after suffering serious injuries.

The motorcyclists were part of Yate and Sodbury Scooter Club, travelling on a group ride to France.

The club said: "We are truly heartbroken to share that Yate & Sodbury Scooter Club has suffered an unimaginable tragedy.

You can donate on the GoFundMe page here.

"During a recent group ride to the Normandy Beaches to pay their respects, we lost three cherished members of our community in a devastating accident. These were more than fellow riders – they were our friends, our family, and the heart of our club.

"In the face of this immense loss, we are coming together to honour their memory by supporting the emergency responders who fought to save them and the loved ones they leave behind.

"We are raising funds for three regional air ambulance charities whose teams acted with incredible speed and professionalism at the scene.

"Their work is often the difference between life and death, and they rely entirely on donations to continue operating."

So far, more than £10,000 has been raised for Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and Great Western Air Ambulance.

The club added: "Please share this page and consider contributing in memory of our fallen riders. Ride on, always in our hearts.

"We continue to mourn our dear friends and send our love to all the families involved in this tragic ongoing incident."
