Bowling shoes and high spirits led the way as residents took to the lanes for a day of fun and friendly competition.
Residents from Snowdrop Place, a care home in Hedge End, enjoyed an outing to Tenpin Southampton as part of Barchester Healthcare’s national Get Moving campaign, which encourages older adults to stay active through engaging, accessible activities.
The lanes were filled with laughter and cheering throughout the visit, with resident John W earning the title of champion after scoring 90 points.

John W said: "I didn’t expect to win – I was just having fun and trying to keep my ball out of the gutter."
Gemma Hicks, home manager at Snowdrop Place, said: "Days like this mean so much.
"It’s about getting out, trying something different, and enjoying each other’s company."
Barchester Healthcare supports more than 13,000 residents across 258 homes and hospitals throughout the UK.
