Bus operator Bluestar is offering discounted travel to encourage people to try public transport.
On June 19, passengers in and around Southampton can get 10 per cent off a Dayrider ticket using the code CAD2025 on the Bluestar app.
The offer is part of the company’s Clean Air Day campaign, which aims to cut pollution and reduce traffic by getting more people to leave their cars at home.
Nikki Honer, head of communications at Bluestar, said: "Bluestar is committed to helping improve the quality of air we breathe in Southampton, and we have been working on this in a number of ways.
"We hope our Clean Air Day offer encourages more people to take the bus.
"If we can convert some car users, it could make a huge difference to the local environment in the long term, as well as helping ease the city’s congestion issues."
