The BBC’s Antiques Roadshow will be filming in Bradford this weekend.

The popular programme is visiting Lister Park and at Cartwright Hall Art Gallery on Sunday, June 15.

Free tickets for the long-running show, which has been running since 1979, were snapped up quickly.

It's the show where experts travel to various regions of the UK to value antiques brought in by local people.

The filming means Cartwright Hall Art Gallery will be closed to members of the public and parts of Lister Park will be fenced off.

Only those with valid tickets will be allowed access to these areas.

The rest of the park will remain open to members of the public.

As parking will be extremely limited, people are asked to walk or use public transport.

The car park at Lister Park will be closed to the public from Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15. Vehicle access to the park will be restricted to Blue Badge holders only on Sunday.

Parking restrictions will also be in place on North Park Road between 7.30am and 5.30pm on Sunday to ensure vehicles can manoeuvre safely.

A Bradford Council spokesperson said: “It’s fabulous that this popular long running programme will be filmed in Bradford and we’re delighted that our stunning Cartwright Hall Art Gallery and beautiful Lister Park will be showcased in this way.

“We hope that people will understand these restrictions have had to be put in place to help the event to run as smoothly and safely as possible.

“We’d like to thank people in advance for their patience and understanding and encourage visitors to the park to either walk or take public transport this weekend.

“We hope those who were lucky enough to get tickets to the filming have a great time and encourage everyone to watch the programme when it’s broadcast on the telly.”
