Step back in time with us to the busy streets of Portswood, Southampton, in the late 1960s.
These fantastic black-and-white photographs capture an era of high street shopping and some truly classic British motoring.
But we need your help! We've managed to identify some of the familiar sights, but the wonderful array of cars has us slightly stumped.
Picture 1 Take a stroll with us past well-known local shops of the day.
In one shot, you can see Clarke Jewellers and the prominent ‘BINGO' sign of the old Palladium Cinema, a popular evening haunt of the time.
Another view shows a parade of shops including 'Young Angus' and 'Frisby's Shoes'. Do these bring back fond memories to you?
Lining the kerbs are the everyday vehicles that ferried families around Southampton.
Picture 2 We can spot what looks like a trusty Austin A60 Cambridge van, a common sight on British roads at the time, and several of its saloon car cousins.
Look closely and you'll see a wonderful variety of makes and models, from curvy saloon cars to practical estates.
But we’re no vehicle experts and so this is where you come in, our eagle-eyed readers and classic car enthusiasts!
Picture 3 Can you help us fill in the gaps? What other models can you identify parked along Portswood Road? Perhaps you or a family member owned one of these very cars, or maybe you spent your Saturdays polishing a similar motor.
Join in the fun and let's see if we can name every car in these nostalgic pictures.
Share your knowledge and memories in the comments below – we can't wait to hear from you and piece together this automotive puzzle from Portswood's past!
