He is a legend of print, television, radio and books, and returns to Southampton with another chapter of his live show next month.
Danny Baker will bring the fourth instalment of his autobiographic tour to Central Hall on Friday July 11, celebrating what he calls “50 years afloat on the showbiz seas”.
While Baker has interviewed superstars like Michael Jackson and John Lennon, fans will hope the Londoner’s stories will also feature those closer to home, including his dockworker father Fred ‘Spud’ Baker and his mother Betty, whose funny and heart-warming stories were lynchpins of his previous three tours.

Baker wrote for The NME during a golden age of music journalism before moving into an equally zenith time of television.
But it was a transfer to radio in the 1990s that saw him thrive.
His autobiography, Going to Sea in a Sieve, was turned into BBC comedy Cradle to Grave.
The former writer for TFI Friday then became a surprise star of stage.
