An MP is launching a new competition, pitting the best fish and chip shops against each other to win bragging rights.
On National Fish and Chips Day, Dame Caroline Dinenage MP announced that she will be holding her first "Best Fish and Chip Shop" contest.
Residents in Gosport, Lee on the Solent, Stubbington and Hill Head have been asked to nominate their favourite spots to go for a chippy tea.

Nominations will be open until June 20 and the five best takeaways will compete until June 29.
Dame Caroline said on social media: "Fish and chip shops are an iconic symbol of British culture, and the jobs they support and the part they play in keeping our communities fed are vital to our area.
"My competition will open with a period for nominations running until 20 June. The five fish and chip shops from Gosport, Lee on the Solent, Stubbington and Hill Head with the most nominations will then fight it out head-to-head until Sunday 29 June, with the winner announced the following morning."
