Megan Moore, a 25-year-old payroll specialist from Southampton, was one of the first of the 12 singles to enter the Love Island villa on Monday night’s episode.

If she is successful in her search to find love, Megan will spend her time over the next eight weeks of filming relaxing in the Love Island villa.

In individual interviews the 12 islanders are introduced to the audience with bright lights and slow-motion shots of the contestants.

Viewers get an insight into who they are, what they do and what they are looking for on Love Island.

Megan tells the audience in her interview that she has been single for over four years and is looking to settle down.

Megan said: “I am going on Love Island to find a boyfriend.”

She goes on to explain her type, tall, tan with nice eyes and a nice smile.

In the initial coupling of the islanders, Megan chose fellow islander Dejon Noel-Williams, 26-year-old professional footballer from London.

Dejon seems to match the profile of Megan’s type and as the couple chat and laugh on the sofa they assure each other that they are happy with the coupling choice.

Dejon said during his private chat in the beach hut with the audience, “Meg seems like a wonderful girl."

He added: "We have so many similar interests, similar values.”

A good first impression for their initial coupling.

In a dramatic twist of events at the end of the episode a new bombshell enters the villa as the first ever American on the show.

Antonia Laites is a 24-year-old pool party waitress from Connecticut USA, she seems to stir things up for the existing couples.

Unfortunately, there’s only room in the villa for 12 islanders and tomorrow night someone will be dumped from the island, as the couples chat and get to know each other will they stay together or will they stray away from their partner.

The villa is located in the beautiful rural Mallorcan area of Sant Llorenç and is kitted out with all the classic Love Island neon lights, bright colours, and day beds.
