Three Southampton Scouts helped residents revamp the Rownhams Manor care home garden.
The volunteers planted flowers as part of their fundraising efforts for the Explorer Badge.
This badge requires a ten day expedition abroad.
Sandra Philips, an 82-year-old resident, said: "They were all so nice and spoke to us about what they do in the Scouts – they do some unbelievable things for the community."
Rownhams Manor thanked the Scouts by donating to their upcoming trip.

Rownhams Manor care home, run by Oyster Care Homes, provides 24-hour residential, dementia, and respite care for up to 66 residents.
The home offers ensuite bedrooms, communal spaces, and gardens.
