An update has been issued by Hampshire police after a man allegedly swore at a woman and punched her car wing mirror, smashing the glass in the process.
Officers previously said that between 2.40pm and 2.55pm on May 12, an unknown man approached and verbally abused a woman in her 20s at the car park of Hythe Library.
The man allegedly swore at the woman before punching her car wing mirror, which smashed the glass.

CCTV imagery was previously released by Hampshire police as the investigation ramped up, with officers wanting to speak to the man pictured in connection with the incident.
The man has now been identified and contacted by police.
Officers confirmed to the Echo that the man pictured in the photo they had previously issued is "assisting" with their enquiries.
