A man caught with extreme pornographic images has been spared jail.
Jacob Evans walked free from Southampton Magistrates’ Court with an £85 fine to pay.
The 34-year-old was brought to court more than two years since he was found with the image.
The court heard that the image portrayed an act of intercourse with an animal, which was “grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character”.
He was found with the image in Southampton on March 12, 2023.

Evans, of Lime Tree Way, Chineham, previously pleaded guilty to a charge of possessing an extreme pornographic image.
He was given a year-long conditional discharge and must pay prosecution costs of £85.
A conditional discharge means Evans will not be sentenced for this offence unless a further offence is committed in the 12 month period.
