To celebrate its 100-year anniversary, the Winchester Philharmonic Choir will participate in a 'Come and Sing' event.

Founded in 1925, the choir commissioned Bob Chilcott in 2000 for its 75th anniversary to compose the Canticles of Light.

The choir will welcome Chilcott to Winchester to lead its annual Come and Sing on Saturday, June 14, featuring his A Little Jazz Mass and Canticles of Light.

He will also be a principal guest at the centenary reception.

The venue is St Paul's Church in Winchester.

The event begins at 10am with registration, followed by several sessions and a run-through performance at 3.45pm, followed by the reception.

Tickets are £25 for adults and £5 for under 21s, which includes the hire of a score.

They can be purchased in advance at winchesterphilharmonicchoir.org.uk, with tickets possibly available on the day.
