Hampshire police have confiscated a car after a driver is alleged to have used fake details to get cheaper insurance.
The Audi was initially stopped by police officers on Spring Crescent in Portswood, Southampton.
Police said the driver tried to take out a new insurance policy after "realising we were not falling for it" - backdating the start date to make it look like they were insured at the time of the stop.

A police spokesperson explained: "They decided to take out a new insurance policy and backdated the start date to make it appear they were insured at the time of the stop.
"As our suspicions were already raised we contacted the Motor Insurance Bureau who confirmed that the company issuing the new insurance certificate were not authorised to do so and the policy was fraudulent."
The vehicle was seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act and investigations are ongoing.
