One of Princess Cruises's newest ships will be based in Southampton for the first time next summer - and offer more round-trip cruises from the city in 2027.

Majestic Princess will be based in Southampton from April 17 to September 19, bringing thousands of cruise passengers to and from the city.

The ship can carry around 3,500 guests and more than 1,000 crew members - making it one of the largest ships to dock in the port.

Eithne Williamson, vice president of Princess Cruises UK and Europe, said: "In 2026, Majestic Princess will be homeported in Southampton for the first time, joining Sky Princess, which returns for her sixth consecutive season.

"While both ships are Royal-Class, Majestic Princess boasts a unique onboard venue — the Hollywood Conservatory and Pool Club — a glass-enclosed retreat featuring a pool and bar.

"This inviting top-deck space offers a relaxing atmosphere for guests sailing on Majestic Princess’ Northern Europe and British Isles itineraries."

Majestic will offer cruises around the British Isles, including to Iceland and Bruges, Rotterdam, Copenhagen and Hamburg.

She will then return in March 2027 to sail routes around the British Isles and northern Europe.
