A village near Witney could soon be getting 40 new homes as new plans were revealed.
The development, submitted by Croudace Homes, is for land south of Kingsway Cottages in Bampton Road, Aston.
The scheme would include 40 per cent affordable homes and range from two to five bed properties.
In the application's planning papers, it said that all the homes will have "adequate private or communal gardens and secure recycling or bicycle stores".
So far no members of the public have submitted comments in support or objection to West Oxfordshire District Council.

Aston homes masterplan (Image: WODC) The planning statement said: "The vision for Aston is to create a sustainable, high-quality development that seamlessly integrates with the village’s character while embracing innovative design principles.
"Rooted in sustainability, community well-being, and architectural excellence, the scheme aspires to deliver a thoughtfully designed neighbourhood that enhances both the built environment and the natural landscape.
"The development will prioritise green infrastructure, energy-efficient homes, and well-connected public spaces, fostering a vibrant and inclusive community.
"By drawing inspiration from Aston’s traditional vernacular while incorporating modern, low-carbon technologies, the scheme sets a new benchmark for environmentally responsible and contextually sensitive development."
It added: "A net gain in biodiversity will be achieved through the creation of landscaped buffers, retention ponds, the retention of hedgerows and creation of private gardens.
"As with any greenfield site, the development will introduce change to an otherwise undeveloped piece of land.
"It is recognised that the development would be outside the existing settlement boundaries and would result in the loss of agricultural land. However, the site area is small, and productivity is limited."
