A seven-mile-long diversion has been set up ahead of the closure of a road less than half a mile long due to road works.
Titchfield Road is set to be hit by Hampshire County Council road works next week which is likely to cause delays.
Despite only working on a 0.3-mile stretch of road, a seven-and-a-half-mile diversion route has been put in place.

The diversion route (Image: NQ) A Hampshire County Council spokesperson said: “A thin veneer applied to the road surface to help preserve and make the surface last longer.
“A fast and cost-effective treatment.
“The works may not take place on the first date advertised but will take place during the dates shown on the sign.”
The road will close on Tuesday and Wednesday all day, according to the council.
Crews will not require access to pavements so those travelling on foot should not be affected by the works.
The diversion route takes drivers onto Daedalus Way and through Fareham town centre.
