Police made an arrest after finding vapes believed to contain THC, a psychoactive substance found in the cannabis plant, during a day of action in Rossendale.
Officers also spoke to parents about parking legally outside schools and seized thousands of pounds worth of vapes from a shop.
Rossendale Police, in collaboration with partner agencies, conducted the operation on June 4 to address concerns raised by the local community.
As part of the initiative, officers were joined by Lancashire Parking Services (LPS) during school pick-up and drop-off times at local primary schools in Whitworth.
This followed concerns raised through a police survey regarding child safety and illegal parking.
Parents and children were spoken to about the importance of parking legally and safely during these critical times.
Police were also joined by Trading Standards for an enforcement visit to a local vape shop following concerns raised by local residents regarding the sale of these items to children.
Single-use vapes, which are now illegal in the UK, estimated to be valued between £7,000 and £10,000 were seized from the premises.

Officers also conducted a search of a car in the area and found vapes believed to contain THC.
A man, aged 35 from Rochdale, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a psychoactive substance.
Sergeant Paul Marsden said, “It’s great that we have been able to remove a quantity of illegal vapes from the streets of Whitworth, including those that we suspect to contain THC.
"Those using these vapes risk inhaling very dangerous substances, and we are determined to protect people from the threat these illicit vapes pose.
“We will continue to actively work with our partner agencies to tackle the issues and concerns of our communities and this day of action is just one example of the work we do day-in-day-out.
“We encourage the community to continue to report their concerns so that the appropriate agency can take effective action.”
