A new festival is set to bring music and culture to the heart of the city.
Tapestry Festival will take place at Westquay Esplanade in Southampton on July 19 and 20, running from 2pm to 8pm each day.
The free, family-friendly event is expected to draw more than 20,000 visitors and will feature a diverse line-up of global artists and homegrown talent.
Claire Whitaker CBE, chief executive of Southampton Forward, said: "Tapestry Festival brings together world-class musicians from folk, Indian classical and African traditions, offering a rare opportunity to experience such diverse talent at a free event."

The programme includes headline performances by Penguin Café and Sam Lee, as well as local favourites like the Salty Sea Dogs.
BBC Radio 3 will record performances for its Music Planet programme in August.
